Gimme 20

Do you know what this is? Can you write TWENTY compelling words about what it is, what you THINK it is, how you'd eat it, where you might find it, or anything else that comes to mind?

  1. Sliced and lightly fried breadfruit is a tasty combination with ackee for breakfast. Next time you travel to the Caribbean make sure to order for your first meal of the day.
prickly but this fruit will not stick you like a porcupine,
starchy, divine, crunchy, savory, odd looking, fry it, slice it, glow in the dark

  2. Might be tart, not sweet and looks difficult to eat. A kind of fruit that would scare, not tempt me.

  3. @Michele--good try. It's actually Katahar also called Chataigne because of its resemblance to chestnuts. It's often used the same way breadfruit (so good call!) is and increasingly for stuffing turkeys in the Caribbean (yes, you heard right! Turkeys)@Krissy: How do you think you might peel it? What might it taste like? What would the whole fruit feel like in your hands?
